I am responsible for the drawing and checking of cabling
infrastructure facilities for existing Dignity Health Hospitals in
California. I draw the rooms and facilities and provide my management
with the specified drawing packages. I back and cross check the other
disciplines so that the WWT Discovery and Design team puts forth the best
product for the customer to plan their electrical, cable and infrastructure
sizing. I provide design services for the rack elevation portion of
the submittal package including the electrical and UPS installation
portion. I work the Dignity provided base drawings into formats
capable of being utilized by the AP survey teams, and help integrate the
results into the final Design Delivery Product.

estimating team and assist with overflow. I provide project costing

can create As Built drawings and submittals.

use. Each potential project is thoroughly detailed so that when the

Responsibility for the project costing for Vector’s $35 million
dollar Year 12 E-rate contract with San Diego Unified School
District. The design was received from one of several field engineers
and the process was to format that information so that the customer would
see one consistent set of information for each of the 61 schools in our
contract. The information from several sources would be reduced into
one cost sheet that would be presented to the customer for approval.
Responsibilities included field verification of the engineering drawings on
both the design and as built phases, design of site specific engineering
solutions.

I was responsible for the design and costing of Structured Cabling,
Inside and Outside plant construction, for both internally generated jobs
through our electrical department and externally from the outside via the
various bid boards available and our outside sales staff. Most jobs
are analyzed using AutoCAD to do my takeoffs and keep records for later
project management use. Each potential project is thoroughly detailed
so that when the job is awarded, the project team can proceed easily with
the installation.

I was responsible for the design and costing of Coax and Fiber
customer feeds. The job function is to estimate the cost involved in
getting COX network cabling into the customer’s facilities. This
involves walking the site and interfacing with the customer on design
issues, as well as any plant construction required to get the cabling to
the customer. After the design is established, I modify existing AutoCAD
system drawings to reflect the proposed construction, and estimate the
cost.

construction.

I provided both submittal and as-built AutoCAD drawings and
documentation as per the contract documents. I was the leader in
processing test results and providing the required information to the
customer as per the contract documents.

management teams, so as to raise the company skill level.

I provided engineering support and quality control functions for
the Base Area Network/Local Area Network portion of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet
(NMCI). A total 360,000 seats are planned for this project. I
made visits to Navy and Marine Corps sites throughout the western US to
provide the local design and construction teams with the latest information
and criteria so as to best build their portions of the network.

I was the western US authority for the design and implementation of
all cabinet and UPS installations. I was the authorizing authority
for the western US for all cabinet/UPS purchases and movements. I
worked with my counterpart in the eastern region to manage the disposition
of equipment so as to provide the EDS/NMCI management team with the most
cost effective solutions. I did the engineering and load calculation
design work on the second generation of cabinets that were required for the
project.

I provided engineering support and QC/QA for the Los Angeles
Unified School District Fiber Optic networking program (E-rate Year
3). During the time that I was on the project, I visited over 120
LAUSD schools located in districts 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

As a QC/QA engineer I visited schools to provide an RCDD’s
engineering support to the local project managers. I provided the PM
with information so as to help solve the difficult problem of placing
cabinets in a school environment within a seismically active zone.
§
I interfaced with the project structural engineer so as to provide
the district with the installation that they expected under the criteria
that they demanded.
§
I was project manager on 3 high schools in the project. I was
charged with the construction of network cabling and electrical work at
these high schools.
